Inside RBB
Me.
I grew up in a small town in the rural Midwest. Quarter horse shows, rodeos, hauling hay and the ranch were the staples as I grew up. I am the youngest of 4 siblings by 10 years. It seemed more like having 5 parents.
Small town life didn't suit me, but I didn't have a choice at the time. I went through the routine of high school then college and got myself a degree. As it turns out, I couldn't do much with it. The only thing I really enjoyed was gaming. It was my escape and my creative outlet.
I went back to school and got a 2nd degree in teaching. It was something that I really enjoyed. I am a communicator and I was going to capitalized on that. When I was done, I tried to find a teaching job, but it was tough. Nepotism was a problem as was the fact that social studies teachers were expected to coach.
Eventually, I got a lucky break and got great a job in Chicago. That's when my life truly began
Finally, I was Home.
I was also lucky that I came through the tech bomb in better shape than before. While living here I found myself... more than once.
I'm still building and rebuilding, learning and teaching, as well as
living.
